1. How long do we play for?

A. We play for at least 2 and a half hours

 

2. What happens during the breaks between band sets?  

A. We do a DJ set of suitable mid tempo backround music during the buffet, free of charge

 

3. What do we wear? 

A. We wear suits, shirts and ties

 

4. What further steps are involved in the band booking / organization process?

A. We send you our CD’s, then you might come and see us play, you can send us a deposit and we will send you back a receipt and booking form that will give us all the information we will require for the big day. Music, times, names, places etc

5. Do we play nationwide?

A. Yes

 

6. What is our set up time?

A. Around 50 minutes and for Ceremonies we arrive an hour and 10 minutes before the time to set up.

 

7.  What instruments are in the band?

A.
Tommy - mostly Fiddle also Uilleann Pipes, Low Whistle, Tin Whistle, Mandolin, Bodhran, Bagpipes, Vocals and Ceili Caller

Joe - Guitar and African Drum

Colm “Clapton” Lead Electric Guitar, Bass and Vocals

8. Do we play as a 4 piece?

A. Yes Farrah Bogle is our 4th member on Piano, Fiddle and amazing Vocals. She can also be requested for the Ceremony.

9. What’s the difference between the 2, 3 and 4 piece ban

Can a 2 piece still get a crowd going? Yes, have done dozens of 2 piece Weddings, even large ones up to 200 guests and there is no difference to the outcome, the dancefloor is full all night long!

10. Do you require a Hotel room?

A. Not usually but sometimes for a full day if it’s down the country

 

11. Do we learn songs for the First Dance or Ceremony.

A. Yes we do, free of charge... within reason

 

12. Do we allow guests up to sing?

A. Yes if it’s ok with the bride and groom and we will back them. If someone or for example the bridesmaids would like to do a song we have Karaoke at the ready and we play along with the track.

13. Should you have the band play the music for the Bridal Waltz/First Dance, or is a CD better?

A. It’s up to you, we don’t mind either way. It’s about 50/50 these days, but if we are playing the first dance will need to know the song at least 2 weeks beforehand so we can have it ready.

 

14. Can we do just the Hooley or Ceremony?

A. Yes, we can do whatever parts of the day you wish

 

15. Is there a discount for mid week Weddings?

A. Yes we give a 15% discount for Weddings from Sunday to Thursday

 

16. Do we play different types of music for all the different age groups?

A. Yes, we can do, Waltzes, Jives, Foxtrots, Barndances, Motown, Reggae, Pop, Rock, Irish and Scottish Ceili

 

17. Can we teach Ceili Dancing to guests from abroad who have never seen it before?

A. Yes absolutely! We specialise in Weddings that have guests and family from abroad and one of the highlights of the evening is teaching everyone how to do The Siege of Ennis. We have a fun way of doing this and it only takes 2 minutes and then we start off slowly and calling the steps as we go and then gradually getting faster. Always great fun!

18. Do you drink alcohol

A. No, we have a no alcohol policy
